Dawakhana Aplya Dari Overview

“Dawakhana Aplya Dari” translates to “Healthcare at Your Doorstep,” a mobile health initiative by Zilla Parishad Nagpur under the District Mineral Foundation and Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY). Launched in December 2023, it delivers comprehensive primary healthcare to rural villages lacking facilities using 26 Arogya Vahini mobile vans.[1][2]

– Blood tests, NCD screening, Ayushman Bharat/ABHA card registration.
– Referrals to rural hospitals, sub-district hospitals, or medical colleges for advanced care.
– Daily village schedules announced via announcements and media one day prior.

Implementation Details

Inaugurated by Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University campus. Each van carries doctors, ANMs, data entry operators, health assistants, medicines, and equipment. Covers 13 talukas, integrating all National Health Mission programs.[4]

Recognition and Impact

Won SKOCH Silver Award in District Administration category (January 2026). Recognized as a state-level “Best Idea/Initiative” with Rajiv Gandhi Administrative award. Improves access for vulnerable rural populations, reducing travel burdens for basic care.[2][5]
