Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance

As per the provision in Article 46 of the Constitution of India, the constituent states shall, with special care, promote the educational and economic interests of the weaker sections and especially the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and protect them from social injustice and all forms of exploitation. -Through Directorate of Social Welfare, Exempt Castes Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Special Backward Classes Welfare Directorate and Handicapped Commissionerate, Scheduled Castes, Exempt Castes Various schemes for the economic, social, educational upliftment and rehabilitation of the nomadic tribes, other backward classes and special backward classes as well as the disabled are implemented through departmental and district level offices.

Scheme :-

• To develop settlements of Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhist elements.
• Grant-in-aid to backward class subsidized hostels run by NGOs
• Incentive financial support for inter-caste marriages.
• Provision of Pre-Matric Education Fees, Examination Fees.
• Merit scholarship to backward students studying in secondary school.
• Shahu – Phule – Ambedkar Dalit slum development and improvement campaign.
• Disability Scholarship.
• Disability Welfare Scheme
• Education and training of the disabled from government institutions.
• Subsidized special schools/workshops providing special education to the disabled through NGOs.
• Scholarships for disabled students for pre-school education.
• Scholarships for disabled students for post-matric (post-matric) education in schools.
• Financial assistance to disabled persons for self-employment (seed capital).
• Providing artificial limbs and devices to disabled persons.
• Disability Welfare State Award.
• Scheme of Financial Assistance to Encourage Marriage of Handicapped – Handicapped.
• Mentally retarded orphanage scheme.
• Matoshree Vriddhasram Yojana.
• Nursing home.
• Addiction Treatment and Guidance Center (Centre Sponsored).

Online Scholarship Scheme :-

Government of India Pre-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste Students of Class 8th to 10th.

Pre-matric scholarship to children of parents working in unsanitary occupations.
