- The Centrally Sponsored Integrated Child Development Service Scheme was first launched in the state of Maharashtra on 02 October, 1975 in Dharani taluka of Amravati district and was implemented in the entire state in phases. And in Nagpur district, the said scheme has been implemented since 1980-81. Under the Centrally Sponsored Integrated Child Development Service Scheme, all children aged 0 to 6 years, pregnant women, lactating mothers and women aged 15 to 45 years belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Tribes below the poverty line are included as beneficiaries under various programs. The salient objectives of the scheme are as follows. To improve the nutritional status of children aged 0 to 6 years and to lay the foundation for proper mental, physical and social development of children. Reduce child mortality, child morbidity, malnutrition and school dropout rates. Increase the capacity of mothers to take better care of their children regarding general health and nutrition by educating them on nutrition. Promote effective coordination of policy implementation among various departments to promote child development. Services provided: Supplementary nutrition, health screening, vaccination, referral services, non-formal pre-school education, nutrition, health and diet education.

- Computer training for girls from class 7th to 12th pass
- Running a hostel for girls studying at the taluka level
- Training on gender, health, family planning, and legal issues for adolescent girls and women
- Training and women’s gatherings and guidance center for women representatives in Panchayat Raj institutions under Yat Mahila Shakti Abhiyan
- Additional food for malnourished children and adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating mothers
